Why everyone keeps coming back.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Milan on Via Matteo Civitali, Malabar Spicy Ristorante Indiano offers a genuine culinary journey into the rich, aromatic world of South Indian cuisine, with a distinctive focus on Kerala’s celebrated flavors. This charming eatery expertly blends tradition with warmth, creating an intimate dining atmosphere perfect for both longtime aficionados of Indian flavors and curious first-timers.

The menu is a vibrant tapestry of authentic dishes, each crafted with painstaking attention to detail and bursting with deep, layered spices. Start your meal with some tantalizing snacks like the Chicken Cutlet or the Beef Cutlet, where tender meats are expertly spiced and fried to golden perfection. Vegetarian options such as the Parippu Vada, lentil fritters infused with aromatic herbs, offer a crispy, flavorful bite that perfectly primes the palate.

For a true taste of Kerala’s coastal heritage, the Malabar Porotta pairs exquisitely with their signature beef ullarthu, delivering a savory explosion of flaky texture and robust spice. The Hot Sizzling Beef Kizhi Porotta, Meen Pollichathu (fish cooked in banana leaf), and Kappa + Fish Curry are all must-tries, each dish showcasing an authentic symphony of flavors that evoke the lively streets and coastal kitchens of Southern India.

Lunch offerings include a well-crafted Piatto Unico Con Pollo Al Curry, Lenticchie E Riso Bianco, a satisfying and hearty plate that is both comforting and satisfying—perfect for a midday culinary escape. To accompany your meal, the selection of beers like Moretti, King Fisher, and the local favorite Kamasutra offer refreshing complements to the bold flavors on your plate.

Diners consistently praise the attentive and welcoming staff, noting their helpfulness in navigating both the menu and language barriers. The peaceful ambiance, infused with the subtle fragrance of Indian spices, makes every visit feel like a delightful discovery rather than just a meal. Many reviews highlight their indulgent Ghee Dosa and soul-warming chai tea, which linger fondly in the memory.

Whether you are craving the nostalgic flavors of Kerala or seeking to explore South Indian cuisine in a sophisticated yet approachable setting, Malabar Spicy Ristorante Indiano delivers an unforgettable experience. It’s not just a meal—it’s a voyage through tradition, warmth, and exquisite taste right in the heart of Milan.

This is my first time, i love the food. Specifically, it served South Indian Food. The atmosphere is nice and quiet. The staff (girl) is so helpful in English, because I found it challenging to speak Italian or Malayalam. The chai tea never disappointed!

Ghee Dosa was delicious but the chutney was very nostalgic. Decently priced and well worth it. One of the best places to eat if you miss south Indian cuisine.
